We went to the cherry plantation yesterday. I had always thought that cherries are grown on bushes.Only till yesterday did I realize that they are grown on trees.=P. There were loads of cherries. We had a cherry fiesta!

Oh!!! I cant believe it!!! I've graduated from secondary education! No more school for me for a long long time. =)

The examinations are over. I think I was slow in doing the papers.I didnt have time to do them carefully. For most of them, I didnt really write full answers. I started to panic when I looked at the time and when I saw so many chinese characters pouncing at me.Then, I couldnt think properly.I pray that I'll score well. Please pray for me.

I'm starting to miss my teachers and classmates here. I dont think I will have much chances to see them. We had our last class lunch on Friday. It was quite a big feast. We each had to talk about our feelings of the class. Maybe we will all return ten years later on the 20th anniversary of the school. That would be sweet.

It was father's day yesterday. We made a simple card for daddy and brought him out for dinner.

It was rather stressful for me this week as I had lots of tests. The final exams are coming. It's on 13 June! Please pray for me.. I only have 12 more days to go to school and I'll be free from school!!=)

I also took my Physical fitness exam and my Biology Practical. I want to thank God for giving me a chance to take my Biology Practical this year as I missed the one last year.I managed to get 20/20=) I was super nervous then. As I drip the iodine solution, my palm was clammy and my hand was shaking vigourously. The teacher laughed and asked me not to be tense as she isnt a bad person. There was also a mentally unstable guy at the lab. He did wierd things like scraping his tongue with the toothpick and telling me to make sure I scrap the cells off my tongue . We were supposed to scrap our gum and not the tongue.He also plucked out some things from the microscope. When the time was up, he hasnt even done anything except scraping his tongue. Wierd guy.But thanks to him, I was situated to the easiest item(he took the hardest one)I also want to thank my bio teacher who taught me personally for this exam. I was the only person retaking this exam.

The equiptment for the Physical Equiptment were so high tech that I didnt know exactly how well I fair.Everything was controlled by the com and we were tested differently from Singapore. The teachers were so fierce and they didnt want to tell me my scores. I got a shock when the teacher told me that my marks werent included for the PE exam because I dont have the examination admission cert I wanted to cry because I really needed these marks. A few days ago, I learnt that I failed the History and Biology exam which I took one month after coming to China. These marks will be counted in the final score for the Zhong Kao cert!!! The worst thing is that my PE teacher actually told the examiner that it's ok as I'm not studying in high school here. I quickly told him I really needed the marks but he said he cant do anything. In the end, the marks were still given to me.

It's getting hot now. It's summer! I love summer..

It was Mother's day yesterday. We got mummy a red purse, two blouses(a brown and a white one) , a bunch of carnations and e-cards. My father treated to us to dinner in a Chinese Restaurant.

This is Ke(1) Dou(3) and its algaes. We got it from a pond when we went for our school's Spring Trip 3 weeks ago. It cost me 800 RMB, indirectly. My sis wanted to take this photo of it so I sneakily took my father's camera and snapped a shot. When I zoomed in and then zoomed out, the screen of the camera went blank. We were panicking then. Luckily my father didnt scold me badly. But I had to give him a video camera phone in exchange for the damaged camera. In the end, I got the benefit of it because we found out that although the screen is still blank, the camera is perfectly alright. hahaha..

I did my practical exams today. I got a full mark (20/20) for my physics practical=) and 19/20 for my chemistry. Argh.. The mark minus for my chemistry was very "for nothing" I didnt do what the examiner say and he kept saying I did it this way. My friend and I argued with him but he still insisted of minusing our precious one mark. But nevertheless, I want to thank God for the strength and focus mind he gave me. Thank You Lord!

On wednesday, something sad happened in the class. My form teacher has left the school.

She's the same teacher who has been guiding me since I came to China. It was all so sudden. No one expected it.She said she's not teaching anymore because of personal reasons. Our last period with her was filled with tears. Almost everyone cried. She's like a mother to my classmates who board in the school for 5 whole days. She said that she may not be out teacher but she will be our friend forever. She even told me that she would come to Singapore if she's rich enough.

We decided to hold a farewell party for her next week.My classmates say it's a buffet. We'll be going there together as a class after prac.I would say she's a very responsible teacher.I miss her so much. That may be the last time I'll ever get to see her. Well, a granny that might be a member of my church has taken over her place. I'm not used to her teaching as she speaks Shandong hua.

The Physics and Chem Pracs are going to be held next week. It's 20 marks each. The teacher believes that all of us can get the full marks. And, there's only about 30 something more days to go to school. =)

Exactly 11 months have passed since we came here.

On Wednesday, the school brought us out to pay respects to the soldiers who made great sacrifices for China.(Qing Ming Festival) To show our sincerity, we walked all the way to the Memorial from San Zhan. It was rather tiring as we had to climb up a hill and a flight of steps. My friends said it was a good opportunity to "Jian(3) Fei(2)" haha..We each held on to a white flower(made of toilet paper)After the long service, we played on top of the hill. We could see most parts of Yantai from the top. What I liked best was the boundless sea. My friend was showing me the different parts of Yantai. Majority of it is currently under construction.

On Good Friday( a day to remember Jesus' great love for us), we went out for the whole morning again. This time, we had to pick up litter in a waste treatment plant. At first it was ok, just cigarette buds lying around. Then,there were human faeces. I felt like puking. It's not just one but lots and lots of them. The worst part was that my sis actually picked up one by accident! We were rather dirty at the end, but we did enjoy ourselves.

Tomorrow is Easter! The day that Jesus resurrected. Let's rejoice and Praise the Lord! He Reigns forever and ever. How I wish I can join NC church in celebrating Easter!

Happy April Fool Everyone!

Wow! Time sure flies real fast! It has been nearly 11 months since we've came to this land. That means there's 4 more months to home!!! Elated~

There's a funny thing that happened over here.On my way to school , I saw a baby deer wandering around the neighbourhood. We were rather surprised to see it. It seemed to be lost. It was cold, hungry and frightened.My sis decided to give it some of her snacks. We chased after it but it sprinted as fast as it could.When I came back from school for lunch, I saw the baby deer in between a group of dogs. It followed them wherever they go. So this is the funny story of bambi and the doggies...

The dates of the exams have been changed. It will start on June13 and end on June 14. My practicals will be held this month.My physical exam is coming soon too. Better start training...

And, there's just 42 more days to go to school before I leave it. The days are short. I will miss my classmates though. They have treated me well over here. I will miss the laughters in class.

The winter vacations are over. Pick up my schoolbag and I'm back to school. School is fun now. Time passes real fast when I'm in school. I've just had 8 continuous days of lessons. At least it wasnt too bad.

My form teacher specially reserved a place on the board to remind us on how many more days to the "graduating exam". It's 52 more days excluding holidays and weekends. I havent feel the pressure yet, but it's coming soon. The day of returning to Singapore is getting closer!=)

Imagine life without water and electricity... ... in the holidays. I've experienced it.

On Sunday, there was a snow storm. Before the snow storm came,there were drops of frozen rain falling from the sky. The wind was blowing at our face, carrying the "tiny frozen stones" towards our faces. I felt so prickly. The wind grew stronger and soon snow fell from the sky. This is probably the last batch of snow that we'll see in China for the year.

The worst part of the snow storm was that the supply of water and electricity were cut off at night. We were well prepared for this as it always happen. Candles were litted to light up the house, but still, they couldnt take the place of the fluorecent lights. There was no water flowing from the taps too. We savaged on the water that was left in the kettle. That was the only water that was drinkable in the house.

The next morning, the supplies were still cut off.It was rather boring, but we could take time to do things that we hardly do, like clearing our messy drawers and arranging things in place. My mom bought 10 bottles of mineral water that were supposed to last us for the day. The water finally came back in the late afternoon and the electricity came back at night.

We really have to treasure water and electricity.

Thanks to the snow storm, the winter vacations were extended. I was supposed to go back to school on tuesday, but now it's postponed to friday.But, we will have to go to school on sat and sun too... Such a funny system.

Huff and Puff! I'm just back from my 10-day of school. It's continuous from last wednesday to today(friday). I dont really like this system of having to have back-up lessons whenever there's a holiday. Now, the government is giving us a 5-day holiday to celebrate the new year. Guess what? These 5 days include sat and sun.And, what's worse is we have to go to school on next saturday and sunday too.

My school and church celebrated Christmas last Saturday. There were no lessons on that day and there was a party. The sad thing was that I couldnt join the party as a bigger performance awaits me at the concert hall. In the morning,I helped to design the board while my other classmates set up 2 christmas trees and blew balloons. They also hung decorations across the ceilings. My class was beautiful then.My teacher and friends were real nice. They reserved a big piece of cake and lots of tidbits for me. I went home in the afternoon and got ready for the performance in front of at least 1000 ppl.

We sang O come O come Emmanuel in English and Chinese as a family. It didnt turn out well as we didnt practise with the pianist. The pianist played it in a faster speed. The three of us also sang with the kids of our church.

On Monday night(CHRISTMAS), my class had a mini concert. Each of us had to sing a song. I sang two songs"We will get there" and "I could sing of your love forever".It was real fun. We laughed at those who sand out of pitch. Everyone sang except two people in my class.

WHOO... The Monthly tests are finally over.. Thank God I did even better than the CA1.. Praise the Lord.. He's my support in times like this. I am having mild fever now.. And it's cold. BRRR...

Let me tell you all a tragic story that happened recently about a cute little dog called 泡泡.. We often played with him on our way to school and home from school. He is a very intelligent stray dog who was adopted by a shopkeeper. He used to place his paw on us when we stroke his long and dirty fur..He even wanted to follow us home one day..That was the last we saw of him.. He was run over by a car and blood was dripping from his head and other parts.But still, there was an inner strength in him that made him crawl all the way to the doorstep of the shopkeeper. He then breathed his last.. =(

well, guess what I do in my evenings now? haha.. I watch the return of condor heroes. This is the second time I watched it.I think it's really romantic. The sound effects,graphics and sceneries are cool. The main charcaters are also good looking. Has it been screened in Singapore?

Something cool is in school. haha.. Another Singaporean boy. He's only 8 years old but is rather mischevious. I've yet to talk to him. He's really cute and I can tell from his accent that we are from the same place---Singapore..

Winter is here!! But, snow is not a common sight. It only snowed two times so far.. The second time was real beautiful.. So mystical.. WE BUILT A SNOWMAN.. haha.. But, the snowman looks so plain.My hands were freezing then.. haha.. It's as if it was dropping off..I've been wearing the same winter jacket for two weeks. That's the only jacket that I have cause I won't be spending the next winter here.. Cheers!!I guess I have to spend white christmas here this year... ...

The exams were just over but... Horror awaits.. I'm currently having tests.. I wasnt slacking ok.. I just hate circles for maths.. We have to prove this and that.. I think I'm not going to do well for the maths test.There's still physics, chinese, english, politics next week..

Guess what? I still have to go to school on Christmas! And, I got a shock when the teacher told us that our winter vacation is only in Febuary.. Poor me..

I just came back from school from decorating the blackboard. At first, I did the board all by myself. My classmate came along to help me wipe the board clean..Then, my sis' classmate who was boarding the school gave me a hand. Thank God for her help.. If not, I might still be stuck in the classroom now.I hope my class will win for the class-decorating competition

Examination Pressure is finally over=)Lol.. I just realized that it is only CA1.. Mid year exams are still a few months away..

And guess what? There's something unbelievable that happened! I got first in class for the recent examinations..haha.. I was stunned when the teacher told me the news.. Lol..Actually, my marks are not very fantastic, but I managed to pass all subjects..It's my English that pulled my marks up..My average score is 75.4%..I think it's because my classmates were not serious in studying..Some of them just filled in the multiple choice questions, leaving the open ended questions blank and others even refused to answer any of the questions. They got a "0" for al subjects combined!! A few of them could actually get higher marks than me(their maths and sciences scored 80 something) but their English grades pulled their overall marks down.I am so so happy.. I hope I can maintain this position for the mid year examinations..=)

On Friday, we had an English lesson on the different parts of the world.. There was a short writeup on Singapore. Oh.. How much I miss Singapore!!!haha.. They say that Singapore is one of the countries that has the smallest population, with only 4 million people.Then my classmate was so sarcastic.. haha..He said," wa.. So many people..." haha and my teacher commented,"She's only a city, but she claims she's a country" lol.. But, in my heart, Singapore's the best country. I miss everything about Singapore!!! I wanna teleport back!!!I want to be back for Christmas.....

It Snowed on 6 November.. WoOHOO.. Pretty Snowflakes falling from the sky.. The rain probably got frozen because of the cold..The air is so chilly and dry nowadays.. The temperature can be as low as 3 deg celcius.. And, it's not even winter yet! Ah.. I've caught a cold even when I wear 4 layers of clothings to school..LoL.. I'm still having runny nose and cough.. My classmates say that they are gonna play snow ball fights during winter.. Sounds fun.. But thinking of the freezing balls, I shiver..

My family and I went to a farm full of apples growing on the trees two weeks ago.. Wow.. It was so fascinating..haha.. Apples hanging on trees.. Lol.. And, we had so much fun plucking apples..

Today was Sports Day=)

It was really cold in the morning, about 10 degrees plus.. But, the warm sun came out. Thank God for that. I was really nervous. And when I came to class, my teacher told me that she has changed one of my events.. I will be doing high jump instead of long jump. I was shocked when I heard that. I recalled the time when I did high jump in Zhonghua and hurt my muscle. I was really really nervous.I got my number tag, it's 44071 and I am competing with the high school girls.

My first item was high jump.. I looked at the "terror" before my eyes.. Ahh... High Jump... "44071"the teacher announced..Before me was a pole that is 0.8m above ground leveland, the whole school was looking at me. I thought to myself,"This is still acceptable." I managed to pass the first round. haha.. Everyone managed to pass it.My classmates were really supportive. They ran to the high jump area to cheer me on..Very soon, the pole was raised to 1.1m. At first, I couldnt jump over it. Then, the teacher suggested that I do a forward roll over. I did as told and got over=) Whee.. I love gym.. haha.. My form teacher and classmates were really really nice..Many of them gave me so much encouragement that I was the champion. They were like," He Rui Yun jia you, ni zhen bang." and, showing me a thumbup.Without them, I wouldn't have this boost of energy. And guess what? I managed to beat the school's record with 125cm.. The old record was 120cm.I was twisting my fingers and jumping for joy..haha.. I suceeded and I broke my own record. My name was anounced over the PA system for breaking the record.

The next event for me was the 800m race. This race was my failure.. I didnt manage to finish it as my stomach was aching badly after running 600m plus.. In the end, my teacher asked me to withdraw from this race. The champion for this race was as fast as a cheetah. Her stamina is superb. I admire her speed and stamina. She was first all the way. Thumbs-up to her=)

The third event was the 4x100m race. The runners for my class are(according to who starts to run first) Wang Shu Wen, Chow Mei Hua, Zhen Duo En and me. We were the champions for this event.We tied with one of the classes from the High School. Yeah..We've got the class spirit=)

The last event for me was the 200m race. My stronger opponent was that same superwoman that won for the 800m race. In the end, I managed to get 2nd for that race. Still, I'm rather happy.=)

Well, the prizes I got were four notebooks. haha.. And adding of points for my class. Two notebooks were for getting first for high jump and the other two were for getting first in 4x100m and 2nd for the 200m race.

Exams are so close. haha. But, today, the teachers gave us a break. No homework and school ends at 440. Yeah...

This week was a smooth one for me..=)

My classmates' age ranges from 16 to 18, but they really don't behave according to their age. haha.. But this really liften up the dull lessons. haha.. They often use the instruments in the mathematical sets as weapons.. One of my classmate even use a pen as a microphone, going around shaking people's hands, claiming that he is a famous singer. They often run around the classroom like small little kids. Some even grab their friend's tummy and use their chins to hit their friend's back.And the victim will scream like a girl. haha.. I always sit back and watch these humourous shows.

Sports Day will be held next week because of the bad weather this week. It's getting chilly over here. Winter is coming=) Snow flakes falling from the sky.. I'm gonna be really busy next week. Tests.. I admire my friends in Singapore now.. Have a happy after-exam life=)

Today's shopping was great. I managed to get everything on my mini shopping list.=) I got a jacket, a pair of jeans and a pair shoes.

My mother is a good bargainer. haha.. She managed to cut the price down from 120RMB to 40RMB. Pro right? haha..The three of us bought her a green blouse for her birthday in advance.. It's realy sweet.=)

School will be reopening this coming Sunday. China's way of having holidays is so wierd. If it is a 7 day holiday, it will be 7 days on the dot. Even if it's on a Sunday, school will still reopen. They are not upholding the sabbath day..

When school reopens, it's another new start.I will taking model examinations. Pray for me=)

This China National Day, we had dinner at mcdonalds.Eating at Mcdonald's is a treat over here. One simple Mc Chicken meal costs 15 Rmb. So, only the rich can eat at mcdonalds often. I'm wondering what special meals do they have in Singapore now. Over here, the latest meal is some australian, korean, brazilian burger.

School has finally come to an end..One whole week of holiday for me.. The best part is that there is very little homework.=).

hehe.. I really love this board.. This was done by the NC youths. I really miss my church in Singapore.. It's so much fun and mature.

I feel that the people in my school are rather pitiful.. Their first home is actually the school.. They rarely get to go home.. Some even stay in the school for the whole semester..Everyone can only feel at home when we are at home.. Home is one strange feeling that cannot be explained..

China's national day falls on 1 october every year.I cant feel the China Spirit over here.. It seems to me that the students over here dont really love their country.. They keep telling me that their country is not as good as the rest of the world.. They also dont sing their National Anthem.. Only the small kids would really sing them proudly. Flags cannot be spotted hanging outside their windows.. Singapore's National Day is so IN..

Gou Gou is really active now. haha.. He loves to bite my shoe and swing it around madly with his mouth.. He is learning how to bark and can now show tantrums..haha.. And, he knows how follows us to school every morning.. He can recognize out smelly feet, I guess..

In chinese lesson today, I learnt a meaningful phrase. It's English meaning goes like this:"May there be enough clouds in your life to make a beautiful sunset.. " The clouds here represent the negative things that happen in your life.. It's only when you have sorrow, can you enjoy happiness. We should think of life the positive way=)

Tomorrow, there will still be lessons for the whole day, although it's a Saturday.. haha.. I know You all must be pitying me, but fear not.. Cuz, I am having a whole week of holiday next week.. haha.. It's China's National Day on 1 October.. And, in November, I will be having another week of holiday..Woohoo.. Holiday Rocks!!hahaha..

The Sports Day has been postponed due to some circumstances. It would be held in two weeks time..

My school is going to give out the newly designed school uniform.. lol.. We had been wearing home clothes to school all the time.. The guys will wear long sleeve shirts with long pants. Girls will wear three quarter sleeve blouses with a knee-length skirt.. My classmates who had seen the uniform commented that it's quite nice..haha.. I've yet to see it..

Being a foreigner can be quite.....wierd. Lol.. Sometimes, there will be beady eyes staring at me and people whispering,"ta shi cong xin jia po lai de" haha.. And, most china people think that only people in their country knows how to speak chinese..I just spoke a few sentences in chinese, and some of the teachers say,"ta lai le bu jiu, han yu jiang de na me hao.." haha.. Big achievement for me, but I think I still sound the same..haha..

The leaves are turning red and falling to the ground.. But, it's still quite warm here.. The temperature is about 25 degrees in the day and 10 over degrees at night..

Yipee.. My class won first for the drawing of the backboard competition.. haha.. I was so happy. My sis and my efforts were paid off..

My class also won first for the rules quiz.. lol.. What can you expect? My classmates were the ones who stayed in this school for the longest time in the Chu Zhong Bu(Secondary Department).

GouGou is much bigger now.. he also knows his name..He will respond upon hearing his name.. Isnt he adorable? We see him everyday.. We also bring him home almost every day except Sunday..Gou Gou is Gold Gold.. haha

I have a new classmate called Wang Kai.. He's this bespectacled guy who is rather quiet.. He joined our class on Tuesday and is still trying to get use to the school.

I am going to take part in 200m, 800m and long jump for Sport's Day.. It's gonna be held next week in the school's track..There's also 1500m..Not many want to run for that race..haha.. And the class with the most points will win the Sport's Day championship 2006.. Hope my class will clinch it..=) hehe.. Gonna start training on Sunday.. Havent been training.. But, up to now, I can still do my shredder, split , bridge, cartwheel, frontwalk,etc.. haha.. I must maintain this and not waste my efforts..

The second week of school has finally ended. I enjoyed this week of school. Sometimes it can be boring to stay at home for such a long time.

My duty is to clean the windows every morning. And, it's so disgusting. Every morning, I will see different kinds of big insects in the window curb.Some alive, some dead and some squashed.My classmates are always the ones that help me to remove them.I hate insects-including real live butterflies.

I made friends with several Koreans from the Korea department. They are Lin Ah Lin, Jane, Angelina, James Kim,Moon and Sun.. Haha.. Funny names..Well, I find that the Koreans here are cool. They wear clothings that you wear to orchard road everyday and their hairstyle changes every week. I wonder how can their hair be so curly one week and super straight in another. What's more surprising is that a girls hair was so short in one week and so long in another..haha.. I wonder who's their hair stylist?

I just had a chemistry test. And, it's tested on the fourth day of school. Crazy right? haha.. but I am rather happy..I got 78% haha.. But guess what? Wang Xiao Jian scored 96. Pro? I really want his brains..haha..The lowest was a failing mark.I am in the average range. One of my biggest acheivements here is to learn the chemistry terms and element names in Chinese..=)

haha.. I get to bring Gou Gou home every lunch time. I love Gou Gou..He's so guai. Whenever we bring him to school, he will cuddle in our arms like a little baby, with his belly facing the sky. So So cute.. haha..But yesterday, he was rather naughty. He shitted on my school shoes. Fortunately I have another pair.

I am in my class committee-in charge of publicity. The monitor is a guy called Han Zhen Fei and the monitress is Wang Shu Wen. There's also the studying encourager, Wang Xiao Jian, the brainiest classmate I have ever met.. He seems to be a computer..He really deserves this post. There's also the hygeine maintainer, Zhang Zhi and the PE leader, Sun Xiao Tao.

I am eating a stick of bing tang hu lu as i type.. It's this shade of red..haha.. it's so delicious..

The army training competition went smoothly, except for a drizzle. haha.. I was a flawless soldier in front of hundreds of soldiers.. hehe..thank God for it. I really miss my instructor.. he's so nice, patient and funny.he's from dong bei..I cant see him anymore..=(

My form teacher put me in charge of decorating the back board with chalks.. this time I have to do it by myself.. I really miss the good old times when 1e6/2e6 ppl had so much fun decorating the backboard and the entire classroom..And even the lilinites painting the church together.. Turning so green..haha..I am going back to sch tommorow to decorate.. I'll probably ask my helpful sis to help me out..

My School is a school with a wide variety of students.There's kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, jc, korean school and even a mechanical engineering school. all combined together. And, my classmates are all from different parts of china..

I've got a new puppy that was just borned three days ago for the week ends. He's so so so super cute.. We will be borrowing him from a shopkeeper every weekend..This is so cool.. haha.. We named him GouGou..He's grey in colour, and has a black face..So innocent looking.. haha..But, he's not used to the environment now and is rather sad..Hope he cheers up=)He's so cuuute..haha..he's sleeping now..hehe

It's been exactly four months since I stepped into Yantai. I am feeling so happy.. hehehaha..

Wang Shu Wen was nice to me today.=) I did my homework in the wrong format for English, as I do not understand what they are asking for(it's all in Chinese)She taught me my homework very patiently and gently. She was also rather nice to me. =)haha.. Actually she is a very helpful girl but she is a little bad tempered..I wish she will be nice to me all the time.Thank God.

As we had to stand under the hot sun for about half an hour without moving, we were very thirsty. During the break, my friend called Sun Xiao Tao offered me a drink.So thoughtful.=)

We were taught to march in a more complicated style today. And, I was the only girl who cant march properly..Lol.. I cant be a soldier.. But, yesterday, my instructor praised me for being the best person who perservered when we stood still under the hot sun.. hehe.. I was like a wooden block=)

haha.. I look like a malay now..lol.. I am getting darker everyday and my skin is peeling.

Tomorrow is the last day of this army training.. I will never ever join the army---hopefully=)

Just saw a variety programme called Fei Chang Xin Jia Po. It screened Joi Chua and Michelle from mediacorp. I love to see Singaporeans on China TV.

Guess what?! They also screened Singapore's very own Mandai Zoo.I WANNA GO HOME!!! They also screened the Merlion.I CAN FEEL A PINCH IN MY HEART!!

I want to admit my love for Singapore.. I LOVE YOU SINGAPORE!!!<3 I am so proud of you.

Btw, China loves Xi You Ji and so do I. haha.They screen it in almost every channel, with different productions. I love the one in which Chen HaoMing is SunWuKong.I get to see Bao Lian Deng too. The show which I watched halfway in Singapore.

I find that my life is rather INTEReSTING.

I was born in Sweden.And as a baby, I travelled to Paris and France. I first went to Singapore when I was one year old. Sweden is pretty in its white coat of snow. Only remember these memories through photos.

When I was about three years old, my family stayed in Austin Texas for about two years. I could remember the life there vaguely. I used to catch squirrels in the park. These animals seem to roam freely, with freedom. Autumn was beautful. They mainly consist of the colour red and orange. A nice combination. I love to rake the leaves that fall.=)I woke up one morning and saw little snowflakes falling from the sky. Winter has arrrived=)We ski down those small snowy hills.I made my very first snowman over there but it melted when spring came.Halloween was super fun over there. Ghosts, Zombies and Skeletons were wandering around in the night. There was so much fun in this "Dead World" I attended St Matthews Elementary School- a school for Preschoolers.The friends there were so friendly. I remembered my best buddy then was a china girl called huifang.Maybe it's because we are both chinese, thus we can communicate well. I don't feel any "missing" feeling when I left austin texas. Maybe it's because I was too young then.

Now that I am fifteen years old, I am yet in another country. This time it's China. The biggest country in Asia. Now, I will really remember the life here clearly. Well, I have to admit that I am more of a western girl than a china girl. I cant speak chinese well. haha.. I reckon it's because of my English speaking family. But this time I really miss Singapore. I have so many wonderful friends there. I am starting to be patrotic nowadays. I LOVE SINGAPORE<3

7 August is my day- MY BIRTHDAY. There were no friends by my side on my birthday. But I received birthday messages via mail. Sylvia, Gracia, Dianne and Serene also sent me a birthday present from Singapore. I have yet to receive it.Wonder what it is?I celebrated this simple birthday with my family. I received gifts from them, had dinner at a restaurant and ate a super creamy cake. This is a late post as I couldnt access my blog then.

Some people over here think that we are Koreans. Maybe it's because there are quite a number of people staying here. And Singapore is truly known as Hua Yuan Cheng Shi. Almost everyone refers Singapore as a Garden city. And the funny thing is that they always ask me about Sun YanZi and Lin JunJie.. They seem to like them very much. But the prob is that I don't know about these two singers.. haha.. So I don't know how to reply.. Next monday marks the end of the Summer Vacations.. Counting the days...

It's a new start.When I first stepped out of the plane into Yantai, I felt a cold wind brushing across my face. Wow.. It's spring over here and the temperature is 20 deg Celcius.The air is rather dry not like the moist air of Singapore. The airport of Yantai cannot be compared to that of Singapore.No wonder Singapore's airport is one of the best in the world

First stop was the guest house- my father's boss' property. The place was beautiful. They even had a dog called meigui. She was soooo cute. The Scenery in the guest house was like that of a garden, ful of flowers, full of live.And the best thing is the majestic mountains just outside the guesthouse and the waves of the sea crashing against the rocks are just a few hundred metres away. My family and I conquered Mount________=)

Second stop was to find our very own apartment. haha.. I really love my house now. It's clean and green. It is also a training apartment. I am currently living on the fifth floor and there are no lifts.I am living in a place called Da Tan

Third stop is to find a school.. Yantai PeiYing School is just 10 minutes walk from my house. Rather convenient. On the outside it looks quite presentable. But their toilets are horrible. No toilet bowl, no cubicles and it stinks. They just have some holes for you to do your business. haha.. I have never used the toilet in the school. It's horrible. I am rather pleased with my final term results as i managed to pass overall.. haha.. I am quite proud of myself as my chinese is horrible in Singapore and I can still understand most of the questions in the examination. The education system over here is a bit higher than Singapore, except for English.. The classmates here are quite nice to me, except the girls in my class. They are not friendly. My class of 23 people consists of a range of age. Most of them are older than me by one to three years. It is quite similar to that of my class in Singapore as there are only 6 girls in the class. I didnt take up any CCA as there is no time. I miss gym and piano lessons.School hours are from 750am to 615pm, with a lunch break in the middle. The teachers are really really nice.. This school educates from kidnergarten to 'junior college". It's a private school. We have lots of homework here. I don't like to go to school.Now it's the SUMMER VACATIONS. I'm having a long , relaxing but boring holiday. From 10 July to 4 Sept. Ahhh.. My holiday is ending..=(

Fourth stop is the church. We are currently attending an anonymous church. It's a private one. I realize that many of the teenagers in Yantai do not go to churches. Only a few. Christianity is a popular religion here, after Buddhism. My church is rather old. We sing traditional chinese worship songs. They aren't inspiring at all. For example, they are songs about being Good Children etc.. Most of the people who are attending the church are eldery people.Ahh... I really miss NC Youth.. I miss the worship and teachings in NC Youth.

They have wierd food. They have alot of seafood here. Most of the people grow their own crops. The things here are 5 times cheaper than in Singapore LOOK AT THE PRAYING MANTIS

It has been four months since I stepped into a new country. New life,new house, new places, new culture, new climate, new people, new food, new school. It feels like a drifting dream.Up to now I still find it funny to know that I am in China- a place I had never thought that I would live in.

I wasnt able to access my blog for the past four months. Thanks to my sis who found out that we could now access, I am able to update my blog=) I am over the moon=P

I REALLY REALLY miss everything in Singapore.. Especially my friends. They are the ones that make up SINGAPORE. I wish I can grow two tiny wings now and fly back to Singapore anytime I want.. I cant wait to go back.. I received pretty good news. I might be coming back in Nov if my father is not asked to stay on.I am depending on God's plan now. But I really wish to be in Singapore now.Now, I can conclude your hometown is the best place.. Now I understand why people compose chinese poetry about them missing their Gu Xiang

Saturday was super fun. haha. was a long day for me.

In the morning, i woke up at bout 6 plus. Had to be at NYJC at 730. Participated in an inter school translation competition. I was the earliest student to reach there. haha. my father fetched me there, so i reached there at 700. felt extra. cuz the nyjc people were still preparing for the competition.

The competition started and we were supposed to answer questions. the top four schools can make it to the finals. there were bout 100 sec schs taking part. so we knew we stand no chance. haha. but we still did our best.

Hwa Chong came in first , RI second and Dunman High third. the Hwa Chong Guy was so pro. I admire his language power. Wonder if i can be like him when I go to China. haha.

Then, I went to Carmicheal Park for the sunday School's easter celebration. The theme was Jelly Bean Easter. haha. was real fun. Sylvia, Dianne and I were the leaders of a group called" Darlings". haha. the little children were cute. they were very enthu. haha. maybe becuz of us.hehe.

Guess who was the winner? It was us. Woohooo. Darling rocks. we got the speed. Yeah!!!!! hahaha.. we won a mouse pad. very pretty. On it, it is written:

Then we got to hit the paper bunnies, and when the sweets fell, we Cheong like siao. haha. in the end, I grabbed grass. lol. We had a sumptous snack and played the playground. haha. Sylvia and I were choping the swings. lol. we swing as high as we can... So thrilling.. Dianne couldnt swing as she got muscle aches from her 2.4.i love the easter party.=)

Sunday came again. haha. After worship, we went to a coffee shop and ate roti prata. yummy!!! then we talked about making frens with non- christians and the different ways to convert them. we returned to church and showed Uncle David our worship procedure for the sunday school.

After this, i went to my grandfather's house. My grandfather ROCKKKKSSSS. hahahaha. he accepted Christ. yipeee!!!! my mom cried when she thought: If we go to china and if anything happens to him, we might nvr get to see him in heaven. and now he accepted after listening to my mother.My mother is super good in spreading the gospel. She has brought more than 10 people to christ.one of them was my gm.. haha. we hugged him. Yeah!!! we are now one big family with God as our father.

Today i took my a maths test. Dun think i did well for it. ahhhhh!!!! Pray hard...

haha. i got a laser pen from my father. was playing it in class today. lol.i love my laser pen. so fun. ( lol. Im so childish) haha.

Sports week

Yesterday i had my pft. So happy. haha. i got all A for my pft. yeahhhh!!!

i managed to jump 206cm for standing broad jump. was quite shocked but elated. never expected it.hurray!

next was the sit and reach. didnt do well for that. Got only 47cm. but still A. haha.
Nina damn scary. She stretched 62cm. this is waht mr lee moh choon always say"non-human being"

third was shuttle run. ran at a timing of 10.63sec. haha.alan(sports leader) keep telling me not to slow down. so funny.felt i was abit lagging. like he say start but i took a few mini seconds to start sprinting.

fourth was inclined pullups.Did 28 inclined pull-ups. haha. very happy. cuz i mproved from last year. kept doing all the way. was surprised when yizhen(sports leader) told me i got 28. =)

last was the situps. managed to complete 47. half way my leg started to cramp. cuz i asked melanie to press down real hard. and it was real hard. then my blood got " stuck" or something. haha. bore the pain and did all the way.

real pleased with my pft results.=) 2.4km is next thursday. so tiring.

Today was Zhss sports day.. =) This is my very last sports day in zhss. I love sports days cuz its so exciting to see ur frens running their best. the weather was great today=) Reached at the stadium rather early at 11 plus. Helped in Logistics. My event came real fast(200m upper sec girls). I was so scared. then the gun banged and i felt my legs were weak. then, as i ran, i gained more confidence and ran all the way. slowed down a bit at the end.i got either 4th or 5th. Although i didnt win anything, it was ok. I did my best=) Congrats to annling and doreen. Gym rox. haha..

Council did their very first cheer in history. led by Jeryl and Youwen. Felt it was nice. The rest of the council were shouting like mad as we watched them dance. We got first for cheering competition. Hip Hip Hurray for Council=)

Then came all the relays. nina, yen ling and i were cheering like lunatics for our gym friends running for their classes. haha. felt really silly. we were doing the can-can. But it was fun. hahaha.

Several gym mates cheered for gym in the cca relay. haha. we were like,"Gym rox!Gym rox!" haha. I am so proud of gym. The girls got first and the boys got 2nd.We were literally jumping for joy. and screaming our hearts out. Gym really rox my life. i feel very sad having to leave zhss gymnastics. =( Jasmine was so happy till she cried.I really admire Jasmine. She has got a real sports talent. She runs real fast and is one of the best in gym.

Friday was prizegiving day. Glad it was a successful one. But didnt like the music. Performed for gym one last time. =(

Saturday, I was out the whole day again. In the morning was gym. It was april fool's too. Mr Keong got us to perform again and we had food party. Went to church after that.I was practising for sunday worship with the lilinites and adult worship with my father and the youths for the next day. Worship practices are nice=)

Finished in the evening. Went to the pasar malam and bought my dinner there. I love pasar malams .haha.. then, sylvia played an april fool trick on me. but i wasnt fooled. haha. She said she accidentally deleted my blog and was real sorry.haha. but i knew it was very unlikely. and i was rite. hehe. naughty sylvia.=P

Sunday was out again. Helped my father in backuping for worship. This was our last time serving in worship for adults. =( I am beginning to count down my days in Singapore.I have 17 more days to be in Zhonghua. excluding the public hols and weekends. went out for lunch with sylvia, dianne, gray, yining and angeline. We took neo prints. haha. so fun..

Learning Carnival took place on Thursday and Friday. (23-24 March)It was not as fun as I thought it would have been. They replaced the movie "Brotherhood" with miss tan's talk. they even removed the movie on the march of the penguins and subsitute it with a talk on left brain and right brain. haha. nina even wanted to throw her shoe at the speaker cuz he act funny but not funny. So proud of 3E1. We won second and third for the creativity challenge. Cheers!!=)The trip to snow city was real fun. haha. made lemon ice cream. so mersmerized by the liquid nitrogen. so pretty when it evaporates. haha. we got a chance to walk on "clouds" when the instructor poured liquid nitrogen on the floor. felt like I was in paradise. The Fascinating Lights was not so "fascinating". Reminds me of physics lessons. T.I.R. blah blah...L.O.S.T in Chinatown was tiring but i had a good experience. Grouped with Sze Ting. Melanie, Joel, Christopher, Zhen Wei, KeJun. we were rather enthu. haha. ran like the wind.( but we stopped to slack a bit. I even had the chance to drink green tea, milo and bubble tea.hehe. i am so in love with bubble tea.my sis and nina.) Dinner was a headache. I was in no mood. It was so chaotic for the orders of dinner. But Literary Evening was quite funny- the skits only!!! The movie "oliver twist "was super boring. sweat like siao and felt like sleeping already.reached home so late=(

Next day was saturday. Trained for gym in the morning. Having a competition on 21 april.Ah!!!! not too prepared yet, but i can bet with all of you that I can get a trophy. hehe.. (gym mates, you know why) After that did ushering duties. was sweating like siao and my hair was wet. haha.. such a bad state to usher people. Returned to class to get my ppr. Was disappointed with my results. did not perform well. so sad=(

went to church straight and practised singing for the worship. Was rather sleepy as i didnt sleep well last nite.haha. pastor tim was talking about ten commandments for the ryanites. lol! poor ryan. Gracia was so hilarious. haha. she listed all things that ryan always do and say he cant do that. e.g. Thou shalt not act like mr bean. haha.we intended to practise for worship as we would be leading the sunday school kids. but ryan, aaron yeh and emmeline hog our instruments=( in the end we went to J8 to eat, shop and take neoprints. Bought a new purple watch. Il ove my watch. haha..I am rather crazy about neo prints. I really need them as a memory. We call ourselves "lilinites" (after our dear auntie lily). haha. had cell group and slept at midnight.

Sunday came. haha. After church, i met up with wei ting and cheeling at far east. We took neo prints and walk around far east. wei ting was so poor thing. Saw alot of clothes she liked, but no money to buy. I was also looking around for long sleeve blouses. In the end, my eyes were attracted to a purple jacket.had some communication prob with the shop keeper. haha. i admit my chinese is rather wierd. costed me $39. Felt that I spent so much money. Quite guilty.. We were all so tired and sleepy. so the shopping mood wasnt there. i had to leave early so weiting and cheeling continued shopping.

I lost my tie=( BOO HOO HOO. this tie has been with me for the third year. I have some feelings and memories for it. And now i lost it in school=( I searched the lost and found cupboard and found a watch which i lost last year.haha. but no sign of my tie. had to get a replacement from miss ong. I WANT MY TIE BACK!!!!!

Tomorrow i am gonna perform gymnastics for prize giving day. This could be my last time performing for the school.Pray all goes well..

haha. yeah. finally got my blog a nice skin. haha. was very messy. lol. very confused with the blog template parts. but wei ting went to my rescue. haha. she taught me how to do and help me get the cbox and usage of photobucket.. haha. im very blur..wei ting keep saying she is very clever.but still must thank weiting. haha. thank u Wei ting.=)

two days ago on saturday, chenying, nic and I went to J8 to take neo prints and most importantly watch "Dorm". The show had good music effects that scared chenying and i. haha.. so freaky.. but overall it was a heartwarming show, not as scary as you think..

After leaving j8, i rushed home to go to east coast to play. Yipee! we had a cell group gathering and the food was good. There was sushi and stuff, blah blah blah. Then we began to build our own dream castles by the shore. Mine got washed away by the evil waves!!! haha. then angeline went to scold the waves by writing stupid waves on the sand. hahaha. In the end we made nice castles with staircase and windows. haha. one of angeline's "castle" was a cemetry.The sunset was brilliant. We stayed till the sun setted,took some photos and went home.

Yesterday was real real fun in church. As usual, we had worship( recently the adults didnt add praises which they should) and bible study with auntie lily. There was a new gril called cameron-sweet girl wearing a long green skirt. Auntie lily drove us to toa payoh to get some paint. while driving, sylvia lent me her cool magazine called"Girlfriend". haha. it's an australian magazine. Sylvia is in love with australia. She says she wants to go there to retire as a fruit seller. maybe i wanna join her too.
We went to J8 and took neo prints as a rememberance for me. Auntie Lily now understands why we love taking neoprints.haha

haha. they made me the queen. yeah!!

Now is the painting time! we transformed into old hags in old clothes and started painting the room(me, sylvia, dianne,gracia, serene,yining and our dear auntie lily.)

It was super fun. we dip our hands in paint and press on each other's back and butt! haha. and gracia even draw her face with the lime green paint. we attacked auntie lily too. in the end, every one was green. haha. vegetables. had a hard time washing up. we completed our tasks and played the instruments.we swoped places each time and jumped from piano to drum to guitar and then mic. Youths in my church are musicallt intellectual. hehe. something to be proud of.

I decided to create my very own blog.=) haha. Would be going to china(yantai- northern part of Shandong province) real soon, in the first week of May.Sounds like some unheard city. Felt that a blog could let my friends know what life is like in Yantai. My school days are ending soon. Last day of school would be Friday 28 April 2006. I feel both sad and excited. Caught in a mixed feeling, and I dun like it. There is one part of me that does not want to leave my dear friends,NC Youths,Freshmakers, gym mates,Zhonghuarians. I will miss all of u and my life in singapore!!

I pulled the muscle of my hemstring three days ago during high jump competition. was a very acute pain. could not walk and sit down properly.went to see doctor and he gave me three days mc and two weeks of no physical training. Gonna miss gym. now its much better but still quite painful when i exert pressure or bend the leg. Should be well in a few days.

really touched by the love and concern from my dear frens. Wei Ting and Chee Ling even came to visit me two days ago. haha. they really brighten up my day.chen ying couldnt come but she wrote me a letter. Very touched by their thoughtfulness.we ate curry puffs and healthy apple juice.haha. we played puzzles too. in the end, wei ting and i gave up .chee ling completed the puzzle.. we laughed all day long at silly people in year books..hahahaha. people do get prettier and cooler when they are older.
Nina also wanted to come down and visit me tmr, but im gonna be out the whole day. Thank You guys!!=)

Chee Ling left for taiwan today. Have fun, chee ling. haha

I am havin piano theory examination tmr. This could be my last time taking a piano examination...i wanna score with distinction..pray that God will bless me=)
